Start the new year with Kitzbühel - also around New Year's Eve and New Year's Day we have put together a fascinating program that will delight all visitors. Already on 30 December 2025, you can admire the fascinating light installations from dusk until 10.00 pm in the historic town center. The installations will illuminate Kitzbühel until New Year's Day. Already on 31 December 2025, colorful and luminous street artists cavort in the alleys of the Vorderstadt and Hinterstadt and enchant young and old. We welcome the New Year together on 1 January 2026 from 3.00 pm with a New Year's greeting by the Kitzbühel Stadtmusik. Look forward to a varied music program and a DJ Set on the specially constructed stage in the Vorderstadt from 4.00 pm as well as a radiant LED performance. We look forward to an unforgettable turn of the year with you.

For sustainability reasons, the fireworks and ski show from previous years has been replaced by an event in the town centre.

Light Installations

Kitzbühel shines in festive light from 30 December 2025 to 1 January 2026. Picturesque house facades, special squares and monuments will be illuminated and staged in a merry festive style. The light installations bring warmth into the dark season and combine architecture, city history and illumination into an amazing total work of art. Marvel at the moving light objects - we will take you on a radiant winter fairy tale.

Street Artists

On 31 December 2025 and 1 January 2026, a colorful array of street performers will delight visitors in downtown Kitzbühel. Starting at 3.00 pm, chimney sweepers parade through the Gamsstadt and spread a festive mood, while stilt walkers and artists amaze the guests. Let yourself be enchanted and get in the mood for the upcoming turn of the year together with us.

The Spielvolk unerringly hits the moment of fascination and captivates every visitor with its extraordinary program. When it gets dark, the stunning costumes of the street performers unfold their special charm and thus make your evening unforgettable.

New Year's Greetings of the Kitzbüheler Stadtmusik

On 1 January 2026 at 3.00 pm the Kitzbühel Stadtmusik invites you to the New Year's greeting in the Vorderstadt. Let yourself be enchanted by this wonderful tradition.

New Year's Mass in the Parish Church

On Monday, 1 January 2026 at 5.00 pm the New Year’s service will take place in the parish church of St. Andreas Kitzbühel. The annual festive mass - to bless the new year - is musically framed by the church choir and orchestra.
