Calling bike fans of all ability levels! The Kaiser Bike Tour is an 80-kilometre bike route through the spectacular scenery of the Kaisergebirge mountain range. An excellent network of well-signposted trails (a mix of asphalt and gravel paths) leads past idyllic nature, breathtaking panoramas and cultural sights. For relaxing moments in between stages, cool lakes and local restaurants invite you to linger and enjoy. Where you start is up to you: Circumnavigate the Kaiser massif during a sporty tour! Or perhaps a more leisurely circuit is more your style. No matter what you choose, both classic bikes and e-bikes are the ideal modes of transport for this fascinating tour. At your own pace: Starting from Kufstein and leading towards Ebbs, the trail extends alongside lush meadows with the Inn river on the left and the Zahmer Kaiser on the right. Passing by the rarity zoo,the cycle trail climbs slightly uphill towards Niederndorfand leads to the Plangger traditional cheese dairy. After completing a brief mountainous stage, the scenery opens up at the Walchsee lake on the northern side of the Zahmer Kaiser mountain. Along the shores of the lake, the path winds gently downhill towards the town of Kössen.The cycle trail crosses the Grossache river twice and leads to the valley station of the Hochkössen cable car. Next, continue along the Grossache river, which is brimming with melt and spring water, through forests and meadows past the Achenkapelle chapel to the town of Kirchdorf in Tirol. As you cycle, enjoy the splendour of both the Zahmer Kaiser and Wilder Kaiser mountain ranges. Continue towards St. Johann in Tirol, where you can sample enticing Aggstein fine spirits in the Schnapsalm Distillery Experience. The scenery, featuring craggy peaks in the background and gently rising Alpine meadows in the foreground, is simply magnificent. The relaxed trail even passes Moor & more, a revitalized moorland landscape with adventure trails, and extends towards Going. This quaint town features one of the most beautiful bathing lakes in the Alps. From the village centre in Going am Wilden Kaiser, the cycle trail to Ellmau boasts jaw-dropping views of the Wilder Kaiser mountain range. This town is the famed setting of the Bergdoktor practice, a TV show featuring a mountain doctor. The last quarter of the journey leads along the quietly flowing Weissache river towards Scheffau am Wilden Kaiser. From here, ambitious sports enthusiasts can make a detour to the beautiful Hintersteiner See lake. The descent from Söll towards Kufstein and the Inn river is well deserved after the difficult ascent. Enjoy views of the Kufstein fortress as you wind downwards towards the starting point.
